Our Story
SteadyNourish is an independent food and wellbeing blog about eating well in real life: balanced meals, everyday habits, realistic weight management and understanding blood sugar — without extremes, guilt or miracle promises.
Who we write for
People who want to feel better day to day and would rather build small habits they can keep than follow a strict plan for three weeks. Some readers are curious about nutrition; some are trying to manage their weight; some live with prediabetes or diabetes, or care for someone who does. We try to be useful to all of them.
Who we are
SteadyNourish is written and edited by a small editorial team. We are not doctors, and we never present ourselves as medical professionals. When an article has been reviewed by a qualified professional, the article names that person and their qualification; if it doesn't say so, it hasn't been.
What we promise
- Practical first. Every article ends with something you can actually do this week.
- Evidence, with links. Health information is based on public health institutions, published guidelines and original research — and we link to them so you can check.
- No quick fixes. We don't promise fast weight loss, “detoxes” or foods that cure disease.
- Food you can find. Recipes use everyday ingredients, with servings, times and swaps.
- Honest dates. Every article shows when it was published and when it was last meaningfully updated.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help with research notes, first drafts and image ideas. Nothing is published without an editor reading it, checking the claims against the sources, and running our health review, which looks for unsupported claims, exaggerations and anything that sounds like medical advice. Images generated with AI are labelled on the page. Read the details in our editorial guidelines.
How the site is funded
SteadyNourish may show advertising and may use affiliate links. When it does, sponsored content is labelled, and advertisers never see or change our articles before they are published.
